Accessories are one of the most underplayed parts of any outfit. Arguably the way in which you accessorize and the details you select to elevate your look can make a huge impact.

Here are some ways you can add elements of individuality to your photoshoot:

HATS!

Hats come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. They can add not only a bit more personality to your shoot depending on the hat you choose (think cowboy hat, baseball cap, or fedora like the young lady above), but they can also help with posing.

NAILS!

Whether you just add a bit of polish in your favorite shade or go all out and get them professionally done, nails can be a fun detail to add to your photos. On the same note, adding a few of your favorite rings can also be a sweet detail. If you are getting your senior photos done, you could choose to wear your senior ring!

TIES!

Neckties, bowties, pocket squares, scarves -- little details around the neck can add a sophisticated element to your photos. Or, as in the example below, a fun juxtaposition of style! And don't forget -- ties and the like don't have to be just for one gender!

NECKLACES!

And bracelets and watches, like rings, can add a bit of sparkle to your look without being over the top. Necklaces in particular can be quite personal, signifying a religion, mantra, zodiac sign or even hold family significance. Can't go wrong with a good necklace!

ACCESSORIES SPECIFIC TO THE SHOOT!

If you're doing a senior shoot and you're a cheerleader, like the beauty below, bring your pompoms and jacket! If you're a football player, bring your jersey for a few shots! If you are showcasing a specific piece of jewelry or clothing for a brand, be sure to wear that in a complimentary way.
